Tye River Mitigation Bank, Virginia

The Tye River Mitigation Bank (TRMB) of central Virginia is pleased to announce its final federal and state approvals by the Virginia Inter-Agency Review Team (IRT).  The fully permitted mitigation project occupies approximately 440 acres southeast of Arrington, in Nelson County, Virginia, and offers 31,000 of the  highest-quality stream and riverine mitigation credits.

Tillman Conservation, LLC., the Bank Sponsor, has established the Tye River Mitigation Bank to provide offset compensation for the unavoidable loss of jurisdictional Waters of the United States, including streams and riparian buffers, and their associated ecological functions and services related to permitted impacts within the Geographic Service Area (GSA) under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act.

The Tye River Mitigation Bank is in Nelson County, Virginia and established over approximately 440 acres southeast of Arrington, Virginia.

Trout Headwaters, Inc has been tasked with co-management responsibility for Tillman Conservation, LLC in order to insure successful management and compliance for this important project.

The Tye River Mitigation Bank serves a broad Geographic Service Area (GSA) in central Virgina and provides credits for regulatory compliance under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act.
